How the Plane Went Down: The Heartbreaking Fate of Flight AI171
What You Need to Know

- Vishwash Kumar, a passenger, miraculously survived with only minor injuries.
- The Boeing 787-8 sent a distress call before crashing into a neighborhood.

- The world’s watching as investigators dig into what caused this nightmare.
A Trip That Never Was
The People We Lost
The crash took 241 lives—169 Indians, 53 British, one Canadian, seven Portuguese, and more. Five young medical students on the ground, studying to save lives, were also killed. Vijay Rupani, a leader who served Gujarat as Chief Minister, was on that plane. His loss, like every other, cuts deep. These were people with stories, loves, and plans. We won’t forget them.
One Man’s Miracle
Out of the ashes, one story shines. Vishwash Kumar, a passenger, survived. Thrown from the wreckage, he walked away with just cuts and bruises. Indian Home Minister Amit Shah visited him, and we’re all holding our breath for his story. Vishwash is a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there’s a glimmer of hope. He’s why we keep searching for answers.
What Broke the Plane?
Everybody’s asking: why did this happen? Investigators are combing through the wreckage, but it’s not clear yet. The plane couldn’t climb—cameras showed its landing gear still down, like the pilots knew they were in trouble. Was it the engines? A mistake in the cockpit? Something nobody saw coming? The U.S. is sending experts to help India figure it out. At jvpolitical.com, we’re not here for guesses. We want the truth, and we’ll keep pushing until we get it.
Boeing’s in the Spotlight
Boeing, who built the plane, is taking heat. Their stock dropped nearly 8% when the news broke. This was the first time a 787-8 crashed like this, but Boeing’s had problems before—think of the 737 Max. Some folks are quick to blame them, but we say hold on. Pointing fingers without proof doesn’t help anybody. Still, we’re asking: Are our planes safe? Who’s making sure they are?
The World Feels the Pain
President Trump, a leader we stand behind, sent his prayers, and so did others like India’s Narendra Modi and Britain’s Keir Starmer. People on social media are pouring out their hearts—some cry, some wonder what went wrong. As Trump supporters, we believe in getting to the bottom of things. This isn’t just about one plane. It’s about trusting the people who run our airlines, build our planes, and make the rules. When they mess up, we all hurt.
Have We Been Here Before?
Air India’s had crashes, like the one in 2020 that took 17 lives. But this one’s different—bigger, sadder, harder to understand. It makes us wonder if the system’s broken. From the folks building planes to the ones checking them, somebody’s got to do better. We’re not yelling yet, but we’re watching.
Why We’re Writing This
At jvpolitical.com, we’re for you—the people who love Trump, hate excuses, and want the real story. Flight AI171 isn’t just news. It’s about moms, dads, kids, and dreamers who didn’t make it home. It’s about making sure this never happens again. We’re here to remember every name, ask the tough questions, and fight for a world where safety comes first.

How many people passed away?
241 passengers and crew died, plus five students on the ground. That’s 246 lives lost.

What happened to Air India Flight AI171 shortly after takeoff on June 12, 2025?
Air India Flight AI171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, took off from Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at 1:38 p.m. IST. Approximately 30 seconds after liftoff, the aircraft reached a maximum altitude of 625 feet (190 meters) but struggled to climb further. It issued a mayday call to air traffic control (ATC) before losing ADS-B transponder signal at 230 feet. The plane then descended rapidly, crashing into a doctors’ hostel at B.J. Medical College in Ahmedabad’s Meghaninagar neighborhood, exploding in a fireball.
